Nationwide Gambling Raids Lead to Multiple Arrests, Seized Property

Four illicit gambling trading operations have take to recent arrests and the arrest of illegal devices, cash and firearms inward several states.

On Thursday, authorities uncovered a Leeds, Ala., illegal gaming operation. Five play machines, II firearms, and an unspecified amount of hard cash were found inwards the property.

Following the play raid on the Elliott Lane operation, Norman Mattoon Thomas Jeffery Bynum, 56, was arrested on Phoebe counts of possession of a gaming twist and a bingle matter of promoting gambling, according to Alabama TV station WBMA.

The hunt was approved past a local judge. Details were non released past Alabama police.

South Carolinas Arrests

Earlier this month, Danny Ray Henry Hubert Turner and Brenda G. Turner, both 74, of Marion County, S.C., were supercharged with play and septenary counts of unlawful possession/operation of a gaming device.

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division raided their rest home on July 10, according to South Carolinas TV post WMBF. Seven gaming machines were seized from their residence, the written report added.

The duo was arrested on July 12. They were engaged at the Marion County Detention Center and released from custody after from each one posted an $8K bond.

Brenda Frederick Jackson Turner admitted to “keeping and operating the illegal machines for the intention of illegal gambling,” according to South Carolinas TV send WBTW.

Their cases were turned o'er to local prosecutors from the 12th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.

$18K Cash, Gambling Devices Seized

Five people were arrested inwards Akron, Ohio and illegal gambling devices were seized endure month during a raid.

The incident took station on June 5 at Akron’s Royal Queens Party Center.

The unnamed teen was wounded in the abdomen. He was transported to Akron Children’s Hospital. The injuries were described as serious but not life-threatening.

He was charged with provoked robbery and provoked assault, according to Ohio TV place WKYC.
